Remember that rare desert snowstorm I wrote about last week, where I posted a couple of shots of snow on the saguaro cactus? Well, because the snow here became a nationwide news story, I decided, on a whim, to submit that red rock photo to the weather page of USA Today. Well, this morning, as I was having my breakfast, I got to the weather page, and there was my photo, in color, with my name and everything! I just about spit out my eggs.
Here’s the original photo I sent them. I knew when I saw it that it was one of those “Wow” shots (you photographer-type people will know what I mean).
Needless to say, I’ve had a great day!
